Check Out What’s on Tap at Dead End BBQ
At Dead End BBQ, we have what we like to call The Dead End Rules:
- Eat real, good, fresh, never-frozen food.
- Enjoy your favorite beverage.
- Always save room for dessert.
- Let us cater your next gathering.
- Enjoy the party!
If you’ve eaten with us before, you already know we’ve got Rule #1 covered. Did you know that we also keep a rotating selection of refreshing and unique local beers on tap to help with Rule #2?
Take a look below at some of the local and regional brews we have available, plus our suggested food pairings. The perfect combo does exist when you pair one of these local favorites with something from Dead End’s menu!
Not a beer drinker? No problem. We also have house cocktails, spirits, and wine – and all the non-alcoholic drinks you’d expect from a true Southern restaurant. (Sweet tea, anyone?) Check out our drink menu here.
Albright Grove (Rotating Draft)
Here at Dead End BBQ, we pride ourselves on being community-driven. In fact, from the moment you walk into our space, the Knoxville mementos and local sports memorabilia show our community values. That’s why we especially love offering a rotating draft from Knoxville’s Albright Grove, a Sutherland Avenue neighbor we’re thrilled to support.
Albright Grove does lots of cool collabs across Tennessee and beyond, and we love that their community-driven values align so well with the way we do business here at Dead End.
Suggested Pairing: We recommend enjoying an Albright Grove brew alongside one of our award-winning chicken entrees, such as George’s Competition Chicken.
Xul Beer Co (Rotating Draft)
If you like fruity flavors that offer a little something sweet after a meal, this next brand is for you. Knoxville’s own Xul Beer Co. offers multiple fruit-forward sours and hard seltzers.
Recently, one of the Xul brews we’ve featured on tap is their PB&J Mixtape beer, a gluten-free sour. It’s been a hit among customers, and one taste will tell you why!
Suggested Pairing: Try a Xul brew with one of our mouth-watering desserts, like peanut butter pie or homemade banana pudding!
Country Boy (Rotating Draft)
This regional beer travels a little further to us. Country Boy beer is a Kentucky neighbor whose flavorful brews earn the right to be poured here in Knoxville. This brewery does with beer what we at Dead End BBQ have committed to do with our food: craft amazing flavors using real, high-quality ingredients.
Although we rotate our Country Boy offerings, right now their Shotgun Wedding is new on draft. It’s a brown ale aged on vanilla beans. Yes, please!
Suggested Pairing: Enjoy a glass of Shotgun Wedding with our wings – smoked for four hours and crisped to order with your choice of sauce!
Woodruff IPA (Always on Draft)
Named for one of Gay Street’s historic buildings, the Woodruff IPA from Downtown Grill & Brewery (DGB) is a staple here at Dead End BBQ. We’ve carried it for almost 15 years, and we never rotate it out. In fact, Dead End BBQ is the only Knoxville restaurant (outside of DGB) where you can get this beer! This mainstay is a fairly traditional IPA – pretty hoppy, but still well-balanced. DGB calls it “reminiscent of ‘historical’ Knoxville IPA’s.”
Suggested Pairing: Sip the Woodruff while enjoying our sliced brisket, or a pulled pork sandwich or tray!
Try One, Try All!
Whether all of these brews sound good or you’re looking to try a different food and drink pairing, come on down and follow our Dead End Rulebook! You’ve got plenty of options from our extensive drink menu, where you can also find details on Happy Hour and our local beer flight – a great way to sample these favorites.
All in all, if you want good eats while supporting our local community, expect the best of both worlds with these Dead End BBQ pairings!
